NGC 3713 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 311 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 110,000 ly. 
In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxy NGC 3712 .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 11, 1785 .
