NGC 3741 is an irregular dwarf galaxy from the Hubble type in the constellation Ursa Major at the northern sky . It is an estimated 12 million light years from the Milky Way and about 5,000 light years across.
The object was discovered on March 19, 1828 by the astronomer John Herschel with a 48 cm telescope.
