NGC 3754 is a bar-spiral galaxy of type SBc in the constellation Leo . The galaxy was discovered on April 5, 1874 by the British astronomer Ralph Copeland .
The galaxy NCG 3754 together with NGC 3745 , NGC 3746 , NGC 3748 , NGC 3750 , NGC 3751 and NGC 3753 form the galaxy group Arp 320 , also known as Copelands Septet after the discoverer , and supplemented by the galaxy PGC 36010 the Hickson Compact Group ( HCG) 57. The galaxies NGC 3750, NGC 3753 and NGC 3754 are combined as a group with VV 282. Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This group of galaxies belongs to the class of galaxies .
