NGC 3773 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 with extensive star formation areas in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 40 million light years from the Milky Way and about 15,000 light years in diameter. 
The galaxies NGC 3810 , IC 2942 , IC 2945 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on April 12, 1784 by the German-British astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
