NGC 3762 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa in the constellation Ursa Major at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 159 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter. Together with two other galaxies, it forms the NGC 3762 group or LGG 239 .
The galaxy NGC 3725 is located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on March 19, 1790 by Wilhelm Herschel .
