NGC 3784 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Leo at the ecliptic . It is an estimated 305 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter. Together with NGC 3785 , it forms the (optical) galaxy pair Holm 271 .
The galaxies NGC 3781 and NGC 3826 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on April 28, 1881 by Édouard Stephan .
