NGC 3806 is a faint barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Leo north of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 154 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light-years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3768 , NGC 3790 , NGC 3801 , NGC 3802 .
The object was discovered by Heinrich d'Arrest on April 21, 1862 .
