NGC 3825 = NGC 3852 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 287 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 110,000 ly.
In the same area of ​​the sky are the galaxies NGC 3819 , NGC 3822 , NGC 3833 , NGC 3848 , among others .

The object was discovered on April 15, 1784 by the German-British astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
