NGC 3826 = NGC 3830 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E2 in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 406 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 105,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 3781 , NGC 3784 , NGC 3785 , IC 2956 , among others .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 6, 1785 .
