Arp 312 is an interacting galaxy trio in the constellation Hercules in the northern sky , which is an estimated 528 million light years from the Milky Way . Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This galaxy triplet belongs to the class of galaxy groups .
