Mac Ahlberg

Mac Ahlberg (born June 12, 1931 in Stockholm , Sweden , † October 26, 2012 in Cupra Marittima , Italy ) was a Swedish cameraman , film director and screenwriter .

Live and act

Ahlberg began working in film in the 1950s as a camera assistant and simple cameraman. First head cameraman in 1964, he made his directorial debut in 1965 with the Danish production Ich eine Frau (Jeg - en kvinde) . The film was successful, and afterwards Ahlberg directed some liberal, socially critical “Swedish films”, mostly under the pseudonym “Bert Torn”.

In 1977 he settled in the United States, where he concentrated exclusively on working as a cameraman. He was among many other things on the music video Black or White by Michael Jackson involved. His cinematic work as a cameraman includes more than 80 productions.

A long-term collaboration with director and producer Charles Band began with The Killer Parasite , shot in 1982 .
