The Suco Macadique is divided into two parts.  One part is in the southwest of the Uato-Lari Administrative Office, the other in its north.  The place Macadique is located in the center of the southern part of the Sucos.

Macadique ( Makadique , Makadiki , Makadidi ) is an East Timorese place, Aldeia and Suco in the administrative office of Uato-Lari ( municipality of Viqueque ).

The place Macadique is located in the center of Sucos, at an altitude of 23  m . The primary school Escola Primaria No. is located here . 8 Malurukumu , a pre-secondary school and medical station.

Macadique has 5,391 inhabitants (2015), of which 2,660 are men and 2,731 women. The population density is 110.3 inhabitants / km². There are 1115 households in the Suco. Almost 98% of the population name Makasae as their mother tongue. Minorities speak Tetum Prasa or Sa'ane .

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Macadique had an area of ​​24.06 km². Now there are 48.86 km². Before 2015, Macadique only belonged to the southwest of Uato-Lari between the Saqueto and Lugassa rivers . To the north of the Saqueto is the Suco Matahoi , south of the Lugassas is the Suco Uma Uain Leten and in the northwest Macadique borders the Suco Caraubalo . The latter two sucos belong to the administrative office of Viqueque . At the north-western tip is the Ossu administrative office with its Suco Ossorua . This territory remained almost identical during the 2015 territorial reform. There was also an area in the extreme north of Uato-Lari, to which there is no land connection. Before that, it largely belonged to the Suco Afaloicai . In the south it borders on territories of the Sucos Matahoi and Afaloicai, in the north on the municipality of Baucau with the Sucos Maluro , Laisorolai de Cima and Bualale (Administrative Office Quelicai (Administrative Office) ). In the east is the Baguia administrative office, which also belongs to Baucau, with the Suco Afaloicai . The Tualequi rises in the west of the northern territory of Macadique and flows into the Bebui on the western border . In the east the land rises to over 2000  m .

The largest places in sucos are located in the center of the southern territory on the southern coastal road, one of the country's most important traffic routes, and form almost a closed settlement center. North of Macadique is Pafuloain , south of Namanei . The second primary school of sucos is in Pafuloain . Other settlements are in the east of the northern territory.

In Suco are the 21 Aldeias Betulari , Bobolaco , Bobulita , Borobai , Caidaualari , Caidaulata , Comiuro , Coquilaco , Daralari , Digamasi , Edemumo , Lacarate , Lau-Uma , Liacaiua , Luroboro , Lutuguia , Macadique , Mata Dalan , Namanei , Ossolari and Quetorai .

In the 2004/2005 elections , Matias Paicheco was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Daniel da Silva Wain .

history

On April 17, 2012, riots broke out in Macadique following the 2012 presidential elections . Among other things, a police car and houses were pelted with stones.
