Macau Open 2017 (Squash)

The Macau Open 2017 took place in Macau from September 21 to 24, 2017 . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2017/18 and belongs to the PSA 50 rating category . The women's squash tournament was part of the women's PSA World Tour 2017/18 and also belonged to the PSA 50 rating category .

Last year's winners were Daryl Selby and Joelle King . In the men's event , Mohamed Abouelghar prevailed with a final victory over Saurav Ghosal , while in the women's event Joelle King reached the final again, but lost to Nouran Gohar .

The field of participants in the men's and women's competition consisted of 16 players each, four of which are intended for qualifiers. The eight best players were each seeded. Per Wildcard received Van Hai Keng in the men's and Liu Chi Kwai a spot in the main draw for the ladies.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize money was US $ 50,000 each.
