Macau Squash Open 2001

The Macau Squash Open 2001 took place from November 1st to 4th, 2001 in Macau . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2001/02 and endowed with 45,000 US dollars.

Defending champion was Omar Elborolossy , who was eliminated in the quarter-finals. Ong Beng Hee started the tournament in top shape and won it with a final victory against Stefan Casteleyn with 15:10, 15:11 and 15: 4.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were reserved for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. By wildcard of at that time only seven years was Ieong Se Chun a spot in the main draw.
