Macau Open 2014 (Squash)

The Macau Open 2014 took place in Macau from October 23-26, 2014 . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2014/15 and belonged to the International 50 category . The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2014/15 and belonged to the Gold 50 category .

The defending champions were Omar Mosaad and Dipika Pallikal . Mosaad reached the final again that year, where he met Tarek Momen . Momen won the final 6:11, 11: 5, 11: 7, 4:11 and 12:10. Nicol David won the women’s finals, defeating Raneem El Weleily 11: 8, 11: 2 and 11: 8.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. 16 players also competed in the women's competition, including three starting places for qualifiers. Per Wildcard received Steven Liu and Liu Chi Kwai a spot in the main draw.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize money for women and men was US $ 50,000 each.
