Madonna and Child in Uzeste

The sculpture Madonna and Child in the Notre-Dame church in Uzeste , a French commune in the Gironde department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was created in the 14th century. In 1903, the Gothic sculpture was added to the list of listed buildings ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The ceramic sculpture is 1.50 meters high with a base. Mary with a crown on her head carries the baby Jesus in her left arm, in her right hand she holds a scepter . The child holds the globe entwined.
