Mads Andersen (born March 1, 1995 in Nuuk ) is a Danish chess player .

He won the Danish championship twice: 2016 in Svendborg and 2017 in Rebild . He played for Denmark at two Chess Olympiads : 2014 and 2016 . He also took part in the European team championships twice (2013 and 2015).

Andersen has played in the Danish Skakligaen since 2011 for the Skanderborg Skakklub (which, after the sponsor, also competes as Team Nordea Skb or Team Nordea Skanderborg ) and became Danish team champion with them in the 2012/13 , 2014/15 and 2017/18 seasons . In Germany he has been playing in the Bundesliga for Schachgesellschaft Solingen since the 2011/12 season and in the Dutch Meester class since 2017 for Bussums Schaakgenootschap .
