Malte Arkona (born October 1, 1978 in Hanover ) is a German television presenter , actor , voice actor and singer .

Life

Arkona is the son of Hannes Arkona, a former member of the art rock band Eloy . Arkona played theater as a child and appeared at the New Theater in Hanover and at the Lower Saxony State Theater. He took piano and ballet lessons as well as private singing lessons with Hanno Blaschke . In 1998 he completed his school education with the Abitur at the Pestalozzi-Gymnasium in Munich. He then did community service at the Bavarian State School for the Physically Disabled. Today he lives with his wife in Berlin.

He has been married to his wife Anna-Maria since 2011.

Career

He had guest appearances in the television series Marienhof and Aktenzeichen XY ... unsolved and small theater engagements (Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, Munich). Arkona also spoke radio commercials and dubbed films for ARTE . In 2002 Arkona received a scholarship from the Bavarian Richard Wagner Association.

From November 2002 (on screen since 22 March 2003) to December 2008 he moderated (initially along with Pamela Big and later with Catherine guest ), the ARD telecast Tigerentenclub . He moderated the scholarship concert of the Bavarian Richard Wagner Association in 2003, the first UNICEF Junior Gala in 2004 and other events, including those of the former Federal President Johannes Rau .

In 2005 he won the " Golden Spatz " as best presenter at the German Children's Film and TV Festival and was on the jury of the international children's film festival LUCAS in Frankfurt am Main. He has been nominated twice for the Echo Klassik. In 2006 Arkona went on Ice Age 2 - Jetzt taut’s cinema tour together with Otto Waalkes and was a guest on numerous programs. In early 2007 he sang the role of Papageno in The Discovery of the Magic Flute , music by Mozart , at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich .

On SWR television , Arkona presented the program Fröhlicher everyday life from 2008–2010 , and since 2009 the comedy magazine What would be if? - The world in Swabian and from 2009 to 2010 the quiz show Schlauberger . In 2009 he also took over the main moderation of the children's quiz show The best class in Germany at KiKA . Arkona was a member of the advice team of the SWR advice program I have a big name .

In addition to his work as a television presenter, Malte Arkona also works as a voice actor. He lends his voice to the character Robbie in the series Cosmic Quantum Ray . In 2007 and 2008 Arkona dubbed the leading role Rick in the movie It was (not) once in Wonderland and Tommy in Horton hears a who! . In July 2009 the film Jasper, the Penguin, was released in cinemas, in which Arkona dubbed the leading role of the same name. In 2013 Arkona lent his voice to the snail Turbo in Turbo - Little Snail, Big Dream and in 2014 to the rabbit Rappel in Der kleine Medicus .

He also plays and sings the role of Fagin in the family musical Oliver by Lionel Barth in the Old Congress Hall in Munich. Since winter 2011 he has played the role of the witch in the Christmas performances of Humperdinck's fairytale opera Hansel and Gretel . Both are organized by Sarré Musikprojekte.

Since 2013 he has been studying art history at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen . In 2014 he returned to the Tigerenten Club as a presenter , where he presented the program alongside Muschda Sherzada until 2017 .

In 2016 he hosted the RTL reality show Das Sommerhaus der Stars - Fight of Celebrity Couples .
