Battle of the celebrity couples - the summer residence of the Stars is a native to Israel dating reality show that there under the title זוג מנצח VIPis broadcast and the concept is already running in many other countries under the name Power Couple . In Germany it has been broadcast by RTL since 2016 .
The summer house is produced by the company Seapoint , which u. a. responsible for formats such as Die Bachelorette and Der Bachelor . The combined post-production is entrusted with the editing and post- production . In the first season Malte Arkona moderated the games, since the second season the programs have been accompanied exclusively by off-speaker Patrick Linke . Since the third season, following the finale, a reunion with all candidates has been broadcast under the moderation of Angela Finger-Erben .
concept
The show brings together more or less prominent lovers in a villa in Colares near Lisbon , Portugal . Here they live for two weeks (the last couples in seasons 3 and 4 17 days, in season 5 27 days) in a confined space. Everyday life is interrupted by various tasks - so-called challenges - that the couples have to pass. During some games, quite intimate questions are asked of the partner of the player at the same time (such as: "Where is my most erogenous zone?"), Which the respective life partner should answer as precisely as possible. Towards the end of each episode, starting with the third season from the end of the third episode, the couples vote on which of them has to leave the show. In the first season the challenges were moderated by Malte Arkona, who was replaced by an off-speaker in the second season. The winning couple can call themselves "The Celebrity Couple of the Year". In the first season, the winning couple received the money they won during the entire season of 50,748.50 euros. There was also a fee of between 30,000 and 100,000 euros per couple. Since the second season there has been a fixed prize of 50,000 euros.

- In the second episode of the show, Hubert Kah and his girlfriend Ilona Magyar voluntarily left the house. The main reason was the rationing of luxury goods such as cigarettes by the production management. Because of this excerpt, there was no nomination.
- At the beginning of the third show, Alexander Posth and his wife decided to voluntarily leave the show. The reason was the confirmed pregnancy of Angelina Posth. A nomination took place at the end of the show anyway. René Weller and his wife Rosemarie were chosen from the show. (They were nominated by all other couples and nominated the winning couple themselves.) Thorsten and Alexandra Legat were protected from nominations.

- Since Jana Ludolf could no longer participate in the program for health reasons, the Ludolfs left the summer house in episode 2. Actually, Helena Fürst and her boyfriend Ennesto Monté would have been voted out by the roommates. Aurelio Savina and Lisa Freidinger were protected from nominations.
- In episode 3, Aurelio Savina and his girlfriend Lisa Freidinger and Markus Mörl and his partner Yvonne König each received three votes for the nomination. Due to the tie, Hubert Fella and his partner Matthias Mangiapane had to decide which couple would leave the show, as they had earned nomination protection. The Fellas decided to kick Aurelio Savina out.

In contrast to the first two seasons, no couple had to leave the shared apartment in episode 1 and 2. The last episode was followed by the program The Great Reunion from The Summer House of the Stars , in which all couples appeared again under the moderation of Angela Finger-Erben .

Season 5
In 2020, ten celebrity couples will move into the summer house for the first time. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , this year it's not a house in Portugal, but a farm in Bocholt - Barlo . The season was recorded from June 4th. All couples had previously gone into self-isolation and were then tested for corona . On June 8, it was announced that the couple Fleur / Özdemir had left the house after three days of shooting. The season will be broadcast on Wednesdays and Sundays from 9 September 2020 with a total of eleven episodes.

- Angelina Heger and Rocco Stark separated shortly after participating in the show.
- The winning couple Xenia Princess of Saxony and Rajab Hassan went their separate ways a few months after their victory.
- Chris Töpperwien and his wife Magey separated in September 2018.
season 2
- Helena Fürst and Ennesto Monté announced their separation shortly after filming.
