The squad strength was not limited, so that only a part of the registered players were used. Panfox / De Variant Breda used the most players, namely 23, while SMB Nijmegen, Leidsch SG and Philidor Leeuwarden managed with 11 players each. A total of 155 players were used, 55 of whom did not miss a competition.
The best point player of the season was Jop Delemarre (Panfox / De Variant Breda) with 7.5 points from 9 games, half a point less was achieved by his teammate Manuel Bosboom . Marinus Kuijf , Albert Blees (both Panfox / De Variant Breda), Friso Nijboer , Joris Brenninkmeijer , Wieb Zagema (all Hilversums SG) and Theo Hommeles (SMB Nijmegen) scored 6.5 points each, with Blees, Nijboer and Brenninkmeijer eight times each were used, Kuijf, Zagema and Hommeles nine times each. With Rafael Vaganian , Julian Hodgson , Taco Vrenegoor, Erika Sziva (all Panfox / De Variant Breda), Jeroen Piket (Hilversums SG), Raoul van Ketel (Leidsch SG), Tom de Ruiter (Van Berkel / BSG), Lembit Oll , Viktor Kortschnoi , Luc Winants (all Rotterdam), Anton Rosmuller (Utrecht) and Peter de Jonghe (HWP Sas van Gent) achieved twelve players 100%, of which Piket was used three times, Vaganian, Hodgson, Oll and Rosmuller twice each and the others named once each.
The oldest player of the season was Walter Cardon (* 1929), who played for HWP Sas van Gent, and the youngest player was Tom Middelburg (Rotterdam), born in 1980, and Dennis de Vreugt (Hilversums SG).
