Manuele Boaro (born March 12, 1987 in Bassano del Grappa ) is an Italian racing cyclist . He is considered a good time trial .

Career

In the junior class, Boaro became the Italian time trial champion in 2005 and won the bronze medal in the time trial at the European championships.

In the adult sector, Boaro won his first international competition in 2007 with the Gran Premio della Liberazione . After winning other races on the international calendar, he received a contract with Team Saxo Bank from the 2011 season . For this team he contested his first Grand Tour with the Giro d'Italia 2012 , which he finished in 131st. In 2014 Boaro achieved a stage win in the Tour of Denmark , a tour hors categorie , his most important success to date.

After two years at Bahrain-Merida , for which he won a stage of the Tour of Croatia in 2018, Boaro switched to the Astana Pro Team for the 2019 season and was third at the 2019 European Championships with the Italian mixed relay .
