María Belén Simari Birkner (born August 18, 1982 in San Carlos de Bariloche ) is an Argentine ski racer . She comes from a ski-loving family, her older brother Cristian Javier and her younger sisters Macarena and Angélica are also skiers.

María Belén has been the best skier in South America for years, so she won the overall ranking of the South American Cup eight times in a row from 2000 to 2007 - mostly ahead of her sister Macarena. After finishing second behind her sister in the 2008 season, she won the overall standings four times in a row. There are also numerous discipline evaluations and Argentine championship titles, especially in the technical disciplines of slalom and giant slalom . In the World Cup María Belén denied since 1999 more than 100 races. She reached the points only once, in 2005 as 28th in the first World Cup super combination for women in San Sicario .

At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , 2006 in Torino and 2010 in Vancouver was María Belén Simari Birkner member of the Argentine Olympic team. In a total of 13 Olympic starts, the 20th place in the 2002 combination was her best result.
