Maralde Meyer-Minnemann

Maralde Meyer-Minnemann (born July 22, 1943 in Hamburg ) is a German interpreter and translator .

Life

Maralde Meyer-Minnemann completed a degree in Romance Studies at the University of Hamburg , which she completed with a master's degree. She works as a sworn translator and interpreter for Portuguese . She has also been translating literary works into German since the 1980s . Meyer-Minnemann lives in Hamburg .

Maralde Meyer-Minnemann's translations include narrative works from Portuguese and Spanish . She is the main German translator of the works of António Lobo Antunes and Paulo Coelho .

She is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works and of the Association of Associated Interpreters and Translators in Northern Germany. Her daughter, Anne Meyer-Minnemann, is a journalist and editor-in-chief of Gala magazine .
