Marc-André Bourdon (* 17th September 1989 in Saint-Hyacinthe , Quebec ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player and current - trainer and -funktionär, who during his playing career 2006 to 2014, among other 46 games for the Philadelphia Flyers in the National Hockey League has contested in the position of defender , but was mainly used in the American Hockey League . Since summer 2017 he has been assistant coach and assistant general manager in personal union for his ex-team Huskies de Rouyn-Noranda in the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec , for which he was active in the youth field.

Career

Marc-André Bourdon began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian junior league Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec , in which he was active from 2006 to 2009 for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and Rimouski Océanic . During this period, the defender was selected in the third round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft as the 67th player overall by the Philadelphia Flyers .

For the 2009/10 season he was included in the squad of Philadelphia's farm team from the American Hockey League , the Adirondack Phantoms . During the 2011/12 season, the Canadian established himself in the NHL roster of the Philadelphia Flyers. This would be his only season in the Philadelphia's squad in the NHL. The defender was then back on the ice in the AHL. After only being able to play 24 games for the Adirondack Phantoms between 2012 and 2014 due to concussions , he officially ended his career in November 2014 at the age of 25.

Since summer 2017 Bourdon has been assistant coach and assistant general manager for his ex-team Huskies de Rouyn-Noranda in the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec, for which he was active in the youth field.
