Marcel Zamora Pérez (born March 20, 1978 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish duathlete and triathlete . He is vice world champion in duathlon (2005) and five-time Ironman winner (2006 to 2010) and is included in the best list of Spanish triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

In 1998 he was third in the junior class at the Duathlon World Championships in St. Wendel.

Marcel Zamora achieved the five-time victory in a row at Ironman France in the long distance triathlon between 2006 and 2010 in Nice (3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and in June 2011 he finished third here.
Zamora is considered a mountain specialist in the long-distance triathlon elite.

In August 2014 Marcel Zamora achieved his fifth win at the Embrunman . With its mountainous route, this race in the French Alps is one of the toughest long-distance races in the world. He has not appeared internationally since 2016.
