Hervé Faure (born July 20, 1976 in Privas , Ardèche ) is a former French triathlete . He is included in the best list of French triathletes on the Ironman distance .
Career
At the age of 14, Hervé Faure competed in his first triathlon.
In 2005 he won the Ironman France in Nice (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running).
In 2006, together with the French men's team, he won the world title in the long-distance triathlon in Australia and in 2010 he was able to repeat this success in a newly formed team.
Hervé Faure won the Embrunman three times (2006, 2007, 2011) and holds the course record. In May 2012 he was runner- up behind Sylvain Sudrie in the long distance and he was able to repeat this success in 2013. He started in the French national team on the long distance.
In the 2016 season, Hervé Faure will appear internationally for the last time.
Since 2017 he has been working for amateur and professional triathletes as a technical consultant for long-distance training in the "Endurance Training Concept".
