Marco Habermann (born January 19, 1991 in Peißenberg ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with Füchsen Duisburg in the Oberliga Nord since 2017 .

Career

Marco Habermann began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of ESV Kaufbeuren , for which he was active from 2004 to 2006, among other things, in the school league and the youth league. The winger then moved to the Cologne EC , with whose junior team he immediately won the championship title of the German youth league in the 2006/07 season . In the course of the following season he left Cologne again and joined the DNL team of SC Riessersee , for which he played for a year and a half. In the course of the 2008/09 season he came parallel for the EC Peiting , for which he ran up in the third-class ice hockey league , to his first assignments in the senior division. He was also on the ice in six games for Peiting's team from the Junior Bundesliga. From 2009 to 2012, the left-handed shooter finally played as a regular player for the professional team of his ex-club ESV Kaufbeuren in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey .

For the 2012/13 season , Habermann was signed by the Düsseldorfer EG from the German Ice Hockey League . In November 2012, Habermann played two games for the upper division EV Duisburg under a sponsorship license , but then fell out with a spinal disc injury. In January 2013, while treating his intervertebral disc problems , it was discovered that Habermann had diabetes mellitus . At the beginning of April it became known that Habermann had been offered a contract by DEG for the 2013/14 season, but Habermann turned it down in July 2013.

For the 2013/14 season , Habermann moved to the Heilbronner Falken in the DEL2 . After the expiry of the season he moved to the, from the Oberliga ascended, Kassel Huskies . In the following season Habermann ran for the Saale Bulls Halle in the Oberliga Nord. In April 2016, the EV Regensburg signed him for the season 2016/17 of the Oberliga Süd.

In April 2017 it was announced that Marco Habermann would play for Füchse Duisburg from the 2017/18 season .
