Marharyta Aljaksandrauna Fjafilawa ( Belarusian Маргарыта Аляксандраўна Фяфілава , Russian Маргарита Александровна Фефилова Margarita Alexandrovna Fefilowa , English transcription: Marharyta Fefilava * 31 May 1997 ) is a Belarusian snooker player from Minsk . She is the Belarusian record champion with 17 titles and in 2015 became the first Belarusian to win a medal at the European Championships . On the Euro Tour in 2017 she took the lead in the annual rankings for the first time after two tournament victories.

Marharyta Fjafilawa achieved her first success at national level in 2011 when she won the bronze medal in the 8-ball competition of the Belarusian championship . In the following year she won the national championship title in 9-ball with the juniors and took part for the first time in the European Youth Championship , where she reached the quarter-finals in 10-ball . In October she won the final of the Belarusian 8-Ball Cup with a final win against Jana Schut . A little later she managed to win the title in both competitions of the Belarusian women 's championship. In the 8-ball final she defeated Anastassija Tumilowitsch 4-1 and in 9-ball she won 5-0 against Natallja Koslouskaja .

At the beginning of 2013 he won the Belarusian U18 championship and the Belarusian 9-ball cup. In May 2013 she achieved her first tournament victory in the Baltic Pool League when she won the final against Agnė Jarušauskaitė 7-4 in Tartu . Shortly thereafter, she also won the national 10-ball cup. At the European Youth Championship 2013 Fjafilawa reached the quarter-finals twice. In September she secured her second Baltic Pool League victory in Riga in the final against Simona Milišauskaitė . At the final tournament of the series, however, she had to admit defeat in the quarterfinals of the eventual winner Katarzyna Wesołowska . She had previously defended her two titles at the Belarusian championship in 2013 and was eliminated from Julija Loban in the quarter-finals of the first 10-ball competition .

In March 2014, Fjafilawa became the Belarusian U18 champion in the 8-ball and 9-ball disciplines. A little later she took part in the European Women's Championship for the first time . In the 9-ball competition, after just losing to defending champion Jasmin Ouschan in the preliminary round (6: 7), she reached the round of 16, in which she was defeated 6: 7 by Italian Silvia Gaudino . In the same year she won her first medals among the juniors . She reached the semifinals in 10-ball and moved into the final in 9-ball, where she lost to Kamila Khodjaeva 3-6 . At the Belarusian championship in 2014 , she won all three women's titles, including for the first time that in 10-ball, for which she defeated Natallja Koslouskaja 5-3 in the final.

In April 2015, Fjafilawa won the first medal for Belarus at the European Championship . After defeating Louise Furberg and Kristina Tkatsch , among others , she reached the semi-finals in the 14/1 endless competition, in which she had to admit defeat to Austrian Jasmin Ouschan 36:75. In addition, she reached the quarter-finals in the 9-ball. At the 2015 European Youth Championship she won the bronze medal in the 10-ball after a semi-final defeat against Tkatsch. In the Baltic Pool League, in which she had not participated for almost two years, she reached the final in October 2015 and was defeated by Natalja Seroschtan 3: 6. At the Belarusian championship in 2015 she again won all three titles.

At the EM 2016 Fjafilawa reached the round of 16 in 14/1 endlessly and failed three times in the preliminary round. A little later she achieved her third tournament victory in the Baltic Pool League when she won the final against Ukrainian Daryna Sirantschuk 6-2 at the season opener in her hometown of Minsk . She was also successful at the second tournament in 2016, this time in the final against Ojars Blezurs . In June 2016 she won her first medal on the Euro Tour at the North Cyprus Open , in which she has been participating regularly since 2015. She moved into the final and lost 3: 7 against Kristina Tkatsch. In September 2016 she was the Belarusian 9-ball cup winner in the final against Palina Tschernik . The next day she won the men's cup competition by beating Dzmitryj Tschuprou 8: 7 in the final . In November she defeated Ojars Blezurs 8-1 in the final of the 2016 Baltic Pool League final. At the Belarusian championship in 2016 , she won all three women's titles for the third time in a row. She also took part in the four men's competitions, which were also open to women this year, and won two gold and two bronze medals. In the 8-ball final she prevailed 6: 1 against Pawel Rjabzeu and in the 10-ball she won 6: 5 against Uladsislau Schopik , against whom she was eliminated in the two other disciplines in the semi-finals.

At the 2017 European Championships , she made it to the round of 16 in all four disciplines and reached the quarter-finals in 8-Ball, which she lost to Melanie Süßenguth . In August she achieved her first tournament victory on the Euro Tour when she defeated Oliwia Czupryńska from Poland 7-2 in the final of the Dutch Open . After she had won two more tournaments at the Baltic Pool League - in Riga with a final victory against Aleksandrs Kuchmins and in Minsk with a 6-3 final victory against her compatriot Jana Schut - she achieved a 7 at the Braga Open in November 2017: 4 final victory against Katarzyna Wesołowska, the two Euro Tour victories through which she took the lead in the Euro Tour rankings for the first time. A few days later she managed to defend her title at the final tournament of the Baltic Pool League in the final against Anna Prisjažņuka with 8: 2. At the Belarusian championship in 2017 , in which she was only able to take part in the women's competitions again, she defended her three titles from the previous year and won the first-ever 14/1 endless competition in the final against Jana Schut.

At the European Youth Championships in 2014 and 2015 , Fjafilawa was a member of the Belarusian junior national team, with which she won the bronze medal in 2014.

In 2015, Fjafilawa was part of the European team at the Atlantic Challenge Cup that won the first ever junior continental match against the USA 11: 9.

In 2015, Marharyta Fjafilawa and Jana Schut were accepted into the President's Sports Club. You are the first female billiards player in Belarus to receive state funding.
