history

Hetzlos belonged as a branch to the parish of Thulba, for which a priest was appointed for the first time in 1600 by the Thulba monastery . The church was built in 1775 by order of Lothar von Erthal and consecrated on September 14, 1777. Renovations of the church took place in the years 1962 to 1965 and after a smoldering fire in 1989.

Description and equipment

The choir of the church faces south. On the north side of the nave , the church tower is built as a roof turret. The sacristy is built on the east side. In the middle of the high altar from 1736 is a stone Mother of God with child, created in 1775 . The side figures represent Saint Sebastian (left) and Saint George (right). Saint Barbara is depicted above .

Peal

The small bell with the inscription "Ave Maria gratia plena" (diameter 36 cm) was cast in 1747. Instead of the Mother of God bell from 1879, which is no longer available, the bell founder Benjamin Grüninger in Villingen delivered a new bell (diameter 63 cm) in 1949. The striking notes are g ′ ′ and h ′ ′.
