Maria Stadler , also Maria Stadler-Ebbinghaus (born May 26, 1905 in Munich , † December 5, 1985 ) was a German folk actress .

Life

Maria Stadler played her first film roles at UFA . There she was used in popular comedies and homeland films . She stayed true to this genre in numerous roles in the feature films of the economic boom .

At the end of the 1960s, she starred in a number of the so-called New German Films , including hunting scenes from Lower Bavaria directed by Peter Fleischmann . She also appeared in some sex comedies of the time, always dressed modestly, in small supporting roles. Maria Stadler was committed to the type of concise supporting actress. In her brief appearances, mostly as a maid, housekeeper or neighbor, she was remembered as a character actress. In Meister Eder und seine Pumuckl she played the saleswoman and customer Ms. Steinhauser.

Maria Stadler gained fame towards the end of her active artistic career, above all through her television roles. She mainly took on recurring episode roles and guest roles. Maria Stadler was also active as a speaker for radio plays and operetta recordings for the Bavarian Radio .
