Marianne Schneider

Marianne Schneider (also: Marianne Galanti, Marianne Galanti-Schneider, Marianne Schneider Galanti; * in Munich ) is a German translator .

Life

Marianne Schneider translates literary texts from Italian and French into German , including authors of contemporary Italian literature such as Ermanno Cavazzoni , Gianni Celati and Giorgio Manganelli , but also the writings of Leonardo da Vinci . She also worked at the European School of Literary Translation in Florence . In 2009 she received the German-Italian Translation Prize for her life's work .
