Baltic Sea Section Command

The Baltic Sea Marine Section Command (MAKdo Ostsee) was a support association of the German Navy , which was set up on April 3, 1956 and transferred to the Baltic Sea Division on January 1, 1967 . The location of the MAKdo Baltic Sea was Kiel .

Mission and organization

The Marine Sector Command Baltic initially was under the command of the naval base , and in 1965 the fleet command . History of subordinate units

Marine Transport Battalion 1

On July 1, 1964, the Marine Transport Battalion 1 (MarTrspBtl 1) was set up in Kiel with a staff and supply company , three transport companies (2nd company stationed in the Strander district of Bülk), a heavy maintenance company and a handling company. In 1995 a training company was added in Eckernförde , which relocated to Seeth in 1997 . On September 30, 1998, the battalion was disbanded. Marine material depot 1

Naval Music Corps Baltic Sea

The Baltic Sea Marine Music Corps was set up on June 1, 1956 in Eckernförde . After the establishment, the Marine Music Corps North Sea was formed from parts of the Baltic Sea Music Corps .
