In the following season, however, the winger could no longer assert himself in the NHL team of the Kings and had to play most of the season for their AHL farm team, the Lowell Lock Monsters . On July 18, 2001, the Finn signed as a free agent with the New York Islanders in the NHL, for which he only played once and otherwise belonged exclusively to the roster of their AHL farm team Bridgeport Sound Tigers . With this he failed in the final of the Calder Cup at the Chicago Wolves .

This was followed by two years with the SCL Tigers in the NLA, as well as a short guest appearance at the EHC Biel in the National League B , for which he played from 2007 and he was promoted to the NLA in the 2007/08 season. This season he was also top scorer at EHC Biel. While the former NHL player was still a regular in the promotion year, he only played four games for the Swiss in the 2008/09 season and spent the rest of the season in the NLB at SC Langenthal .
