Markus Hundhammer (born April 24, 1980 in Landshut ) is a German ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Straubing Tigers in the German ice hockey league .

Markus Hundhammer began his ice hockey career by training at the Landshut ice skating club. After his exit from the German Ice Hockey League and the associated new start in the third-rate ice hockey league in 1999/2000 , the then nineteen-year-old Hundhammer joined the first team for the first time. In his first season he reached 24 points in 49 competitive games, including eleven goals and won the championship. In the following two league seasons, the native of Landshut remained loyal to his home club, where he won the championship title for the second time in three years with the team in the 2001/02 season . This time the club management realized the promotion to the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga .

The contract with Markus Hundhammer was extended, in his first second division season he came to 27 points in 55 games. In the following years Hundhammer was convincing as a solid center for the second or third row and was one of the most important regular players in Landshut in the first decade of the 2000s . He celebrated his most successful second division season so far in 2006/07 , in which he could present seventeen goals and seventeen assists. Hundhammer was also in the squad of the Landshut Cannibals in the 2010/11 season . In April 2011 the striker was signed by the Straubing Tigers from the German ice hockey league and subsequently played 88 DEL games for the Tigers before his contract was terminated in February due to internal disputes.
