Markus Liske
Markus Liske (born December 13, 1967 in Bremen ) is a German writer and publicist .
Life
In 1991 Liske's first volume of poetry, TUMOR, was published . Until 1995 he was involved in various reading series (including Capitalism and Confidence with Thomas Holzapfel, The Homer Project with Oliver Piecha and Thomas Holzapfel). From 1995 to 1998 he was the singer of the experimental band Splatter Kakapo and the organizer of various art festivals. In 2000 he became a regular reader at Dr. Strange club existentialiste.
Since 2001 co-organizer of the Berlin Erich Mühsam Festival . In the same year he began working with Manja Präkels ' band Der Singende Tresen , for which he wrote several song theater programs together with Präkels. In 2003 he took part in the resumption of Die Höhnende Wochenschau . Since 2004 regular solo appearances under the title Liske Reads . His political satires , presented in the various reading series , have been published in several volumes by Edition AV . Satires, articles and essays appeared and a. in: Weekly Jungle World , magazine Leben & Tod , daily newspaper Junge Welt , satirical magazine Titanic , literary magazine Parmetier (NL), city magazine P-Berg , publication series of the Erich-Mühsam-Gesellschaft , direct action .
In 2009 Liske founded the thought manufactory WORT & TON together with Manja Präkels , with which they are also increasingly active as a journalist. Since then, the literary anthology Kaltland - a collection (2011) about the pogroms of the post-reunification period, the Erich Mühsam reading book That is your dog's worth - has been jointly edited . (2014) and the pamphlet Beware of the People! (2015) on new identity-folk citizen movements such as Pegida and cross-front groups such as the vigils for peace .
In 2016, Liske's first novel was published, Glücksschweine , which (like Kaltland - Eine Sammlung ) describes the nineties of the 20th century both as a historical void and as a decade of decisive historical decisions. “There are books that are uncomfortable and painful, but they still won't let you go.
