Markus Palttala

Markus Palttala (born August 16, 1977 in Nakkila ) is a Finnish racing driver .

Racing career

Markus Palttala began his career in karting at the age of 16 . Until 1998 he took part in various national championships and in the same year switched to the Finnish touring car championship . In the following years Palttala drove in a wide variety of international racing series. His greatest championship successes were second overall in the Blancpain Endurance Series in 2011 and 2012 . In 2016 he won the overall ranking of the Renault Sport Trophy .

By the end of the 2016 season, Palttala had contested 187 GT and sports car races , including the Le Mans 24-hour race three times and the Sebring 12-hour race four times . He celebrated seven overall and eight class wins.
