Martin Donndorf

Martin Donndorf (born July 18, 1865 in Dresden , † October 28, 1937 in Weimar ) was a German local politician. From 1910 to 1920 he was Lord Mayor of Weimar.

Life

Donndorf was the son of the sculptor Adolf von Donndorf . He was council assessor in Leipzig, from 1898 to 1910 second mayor in Weimar, then mayor until he left on May 13, 1920.

His grave is located in the main cemetery in Weimar .

During his tenure, Weimar developed into a tourist and congress city. Donndorf was a member of the board of directors of the Goethe Society and participated in the cultural and public sphere.

Honor

On July 18, 1930, he was granted honorary citizenship of the city of Weimar.
