Martin Hermannsson (born September 16, 1994 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic basketball player . Martin Hermannsson and his home club Knattspyrnufélag (KR) from his hometown won the Icelandic men's championship twice in 2011 and 2014, the first of which in connection with the cup victory as a double . After Martin Hermannsson was named the best young player and best local player in the Icelandic league at the last championship in 2014, he went to the United States to study at Long Island University . After two years he returned to Europe as a professional and played in the second highest French league LNB Pro B for the old master Étoile de Charleville-Mézières. Career

Martin Hermannsson moved up early in the men's team of his home club Knattspyrnufélag (KR) and already played in the top division Úrvalsdeild as a 15-year-old . At the age of 17 he not only won the Icelandic basketball cup, but also the double at the end of the season by winning the championship in the team led by Pavel Ermolinskij , who returned from abroad . In the following two years, in which Ermolinskij played in Sweden , KR could no longer intervene directly in the fight for the title and was eliminated in the semifinals for the championship.
