The Cypriot national basketball team represents the Republic of Cyprus in men's international basketball games, such as international tournaments and friendly matches.
The team has not yet been able to qualify for World Championships, Olympic Games or European Championships.
history
The national team of Cyprus joined FIBA in 1972 . Since then one has not been able to qualify for an international tournament.
Since 2003, the national basketball team for Cyprus has participated in the Games of the Small States of Europe , where four gold medals were won in 2003, 2005, 2009 and 2013. Between 1988 and 1994 they took part in the FIBA European Championship for small countries four times and won the silver and bronze medals twice.

In the competitions that have been held every two years since 1985, Cyprus has so far won the gold medal five times (1995, 2003, 2005, 2009, 2013).
