Martin Hinterstocker (born September 3, 1989 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) is a former German ice hockey player who was active in the German ice hockey league during his career with the Straubing Tigers , Augsburger Panthers , EHC Red Bull Munich and DEG Metro Stars .

Career

Hinterstocker began his career at TEV Miesbach , before joining the youth team of Starbulls Rosenheim at the age of 15 , for whose junior team he was on the ice for the first time in the DNL in the 2004/05 season . For the seniors, he completed first games in the league in the 2005/06 season . In the 2006/07 season Hinterstocker was used more and more in the league and was also the top scorer in the DNL with 32 hits in the main round.

For the 2007/08 season , Martin Hinterstocker switched to the DEG Metro Stars in the DEL , where he was initially employed with the junior team, the DEG Youngsters in the regional league and with a sponsorship license from cooperation partner ESC Moskitos Essen in the 2nd Bundesliga . In his premier season for Düsseldorf, he managed an assist in 35 games .

For the 2008/09 season , Hinterstocker was given a funding license for the EHC Munich . For the 2012/13 season he was permanently committed by the Munich team.

On October 2, 2014, the Augsburg Panthers announced the striker's commitment. After a year Hinterstocker left Augsburg again and joined the league rivals Straubing Tigers .

In the summer of 2016, he ended his career at the age of 26 due to a variety of injuries.
