Martin Lindow (born November 30, 1965 in Lippstadt ) is a German actor .

Life

He attended the Humboldt Gymnasium in Essen and gained his first theater experience in amateur theater groups while still at school. Martin Lindow completed his acting training from 1986 to 1989 at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen. Engagements at the Schauspielhaus Essen and the Schauspielhaus Hamburg followed. In 2004 he played Siegfried at the Nibelungen Festival in Worms .

He celebrated his first successes on television as provincial police officer Sigi Möller in eight episodes of the crime series Polizeiruf 110 . For episode 1a Landeier , Lindow received the Adolf Grimme Prize in 1996 (together with Dirk Salomon , Thomas Wesskamp and Oliver Stritzel ). After the role of Dirk in eleven crime novels in the series Die Straßen von Berlin , Martin Lindow played the investigator Thomas Wells from 2000 to 2005 . He also starred in a few crime scene thrillers and as a lawyer alongside Senta Berger in the episode Willkommen im Club of the TV series Unter Verdacht . From 2007 to 2010 he played the role of Daniel Fröhlich in the ARD series Rennschwein Rudi Rüssel . Since 2014, Martin Lindow has appeared in several Deutsche Telekom television commercials as the father Walter of the Heins family .
