Mauro Parmeggiani (born July 5, 1961 in Reggio nell'Emilia , Italy ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Tivoli and Palestrina .

Life

Mauro Parmeggiani received on 28 October in 1985 by the Bishop of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla , Gilberto Baroni , the sacrament of Holy Orders . On November 25, 1996 he was incardinated in the clergy of the Diocese of Rome .

On July 3, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Tivoli. The Cardinal Vicar Emeritus of the Diocese of Rome , Camillo Cardinal Ruini , donated him episcopal ordination on September 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Pisa , Giovanni Paolo Benotto , and the Cardinal Vicar of the Diocese of Rome, Cardinal Agostino Vallini . The inauguration took place on October 5, 2008.

Pope Francis appointed him Apostolic Administrator of the vacant Diocese of Palestrina on July 31, 2017 .

On February 19, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Palestrina, with the simultaneous unification of the dioceses of Tivoli and Palestrina in persona episcopi . The inauguration in the diocese of Palestrina took place on April 17th of the same year.
