Maxim Igorewitsch Gratschow ( Russian Максим Игоревич Грачёв ; born September 26, 1988 in Novosibirsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with HK Lada Tolyatti in the Vysschaja Hockey League .

Career

Maxim Gratschow began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior League Québec Major Junior Hockey League , in which he was active from 2004 to 2009 for the Remparts de Québec , L'Océanic de Rimouski and Lewiston MAINEiacs . During this period, the winger was selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft as a total of 106th player by the New York Islanders . For their farm team , the Bridgeport Sound Tigers from the American Hockey League , the Russian made his professional ice hockey debut towards the end of the 2008/09 season , when he played in a regular season game and the playoffs for the Calder Cup on the ice was standing.

The 2009/10 season spent Gratschow mainly with the Elmira Jackals from the ECHL , but was also used in the AHL for the Binghamton Senators and Rochester Americans . For the 2010/11 season he returned to his homeland when he signed a contract with Severstal Tscherepowez from the Continental Hockey League .

In September 2011 he returned to the Binghamton Senators, who mostly used him in the ECHL with the Elmira Jackals . In January 2012 the Senators gave it to the Springfield Falcons , which in turn sent it to Chicago Express from the ECHL. Since he could not prevail in North America, Grachev returned to Russia in July and was signed by HK Sibir Novosibirsk . After 16 KHL games for Sibir, in which he did not score a scorer point, Grachev left the club in December 2012 and was signed by HK Lada Tolyatti from the second-rate Wysschaja Hockey League .
