Maximilian Göppel (born August 31, 1997 in Vaduz ) is a Liechtenstein soccer player . The central defender is a Liechtenstein national player and has been under contract with FC Vaduz since July 2016 .

Career

Göppel spent his youth career in the youth teams of the Liechtenstein Football Association and later at FC Schaan . In the second half of the 2014/15 season he moved to FC Balzers in the first division , where he made his debut on matchday 15 against FC Winterthur U-21 . In the 2016/17 season he moved to FC Vaduz in the Super League and signed a contract for three years until 2019.

Göppel made his debut on June 6, 2016 in the 4-0 defeat against Iceland in the Liechtenstein national team .
