The Mehliskopf is 1008 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the main ridge of the northern Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg in Germany .
geography
The Mehliskopf lies above the Black Forest High Road leading west of the mountain , between Sand in the north (junction to Herrenwies and the Schwarzenbachtalsperre ) and Hundseck in the southwest (junction to Forbach -Hundsbach). Its peak is located in the district of approximately 9 km west-north-west in the district of Rastatt town of Buhl .
The eastern area of the mountain belongs to the Black Forest National Park, which opened in 2014 .
Mehliskopf tower
The Mehliskopf tower stands on the western edge of the summit plateau . The eleven meter high observation tower was built by the Black Forest Association in 1880 and has been renovated several times since then. It consists of a stone base with a wooden, covered viewing platform .

On the north flank of the mountain there is a ski slope with lifts and a year-round bobsleigh run. A climbing garden and an adventure playground have also been set up. Another ski slope with the Hundseck Nord lift is on the southwest slope of the mountain. Its valley station is on the Black Forest High Road near Hundseck.
