action

Günter cheats on his 49-year-old wife Iris with the neighbor Margit. Iris is so disappointed that she packs her things and asks her daughter Sandra to take her home. This embarrasses Sandra, who has not yet told her mother anything about her much older friend, the writer Hans, whom she wants to marry, which can no longer be concealed. Iris doesn't believe in the upcoming wedding. After all, the age difference is simply too big.

Hans soon begins to enjoy the presence of his future mother-in-law; unlike her daughter, she seems to know something about cooking and his books.

Tobias lives in the same house, one floor below, at 25 the same age as his father's future wife, Hans. He meets Iris while she is cleaning the oven, and a misunderstanding arises because he thinks she is trying to kill herself with gas. He helps her with an alleged resuscitation, after which the two spend a pleasant day and, although Tobias is secretly in love with Sandra, come very close.

While Iris is about to sleep with Tobias, the stepson of the daughter-to-be, i.e. the future grandson, Hans is no longer sure of his feelings for Sandra. His remark that they could postpone the wedding "out of consideration for their mother" offends Sandra so much that she runs away angrily and throws herself into Tobias' arms, which prevents the sex between him and Iris.

When the pastor also appears for the preliminary marriage interview, all the conflicts between Hans, Iris and Sandra are discharged. Iris moves out of the apartment again. Sandra reads Hans' new novel, in which she learns that she is secretly in love with Tobias herself. As a result, she separates from Hans and moves in with Tobias. Hans, on the other hand, writes a novel without a happy ending on Iris' advice, which turns out to be a flop. Iris, on the other hand, writes a novel with "Happy End" that is a great success.

After about a year, Sandra and Iris meet again to get closer to each other. Both are in happy relationships: Iris is in a relationship with Hans and Sandra with Tobias.

Reviews

"Turbulent, shallow (television) romance comedy about failed marriages, illegitimate children, sex, drugs and an alleged suicide, behind whose overly piled problems the realization reveals that a lid fits on every pot."

“The sometimes turbulent mix-ups allow itself some breather. But the way love, predictably of course, crosses over and everyone always talks nicely past each other is quite enjoyable. [...] Cozy and funny confusion of love "
