Melanie Baumann (born March 26, 1980 in Ettingen ) is a Swiss triathlete and Ironman winner (2018).

Career

Melanie Baumann has been running triathlons since 2010. She starts in the Trisutto team and is trained by the former Danish triathlete Lisbeth Kristensen (world champion long distance 2001).

In June 2016 she won the Ironman 70.3 Kronborg-Elsinore in the triathlon middle distance (1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running).

Winner Ironman 2018

In July 2018, the 38-year-old won the first Ironman Haugesund in Norway on the long distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) .
