The metropolitan area of Albany (ger .: Albany metropolitan area ) is a metropolitan area in the southwest of the US state of Georgia . It represents a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) defined by the Office of Management and Budget and includes the counties Baker , Dougherty , Lee , Terrell and Worth . The center of the agglomeration is the city of Albany .

At the time of the 2010 census , the area had 157,308 residents.
