The metropolitan area of Chattanooga (ger .: Chattanooga metropolitan area ) is a metropolitan area in the US states Georgia and Tennessee . It represents a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) defined by the Office of Management and Budget and is officially designated by the authority as Chattanooga, TN-GA Metropolitan Statistical Area .

The region includes Catoosa , Dade, and Walker Counties , Georgia, and Hamilton , Marion, and Sequatchie, Tennessee. The center of the area is the city of Chattanooga .

At the time of the 2010 census , the area had 528,143 residents.
