Mikhail Dmitrijewitsch Balakin ( Russian Михаил Дмитриевич Балакин ; born April 20, 1961 in Serpukhov , Moscow Oblast , USSR ) is a Russian entrepreneur and chairman of the SU-155 group of companies .

Life

Mikhail Balakin was born on April 20, 1961 in Serpukhov into a family of construction workers. In 1983 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Engineering and Construction called Kuibyshev in the specialty "civil engineer" (according to another version - the specialty "heating and gas supply and ventilation").

For the next 8 years he worked climbing the career ladder from foreman to chief engineer. In 1990 he was appointed director of construction company number 155 (SU-155).

In 1993 he became its co-owner and CEO in the course of converting construction company number 155 (SU-155) into a public company.

In 2000, he worked in the Moscow City Government , where he was responsible for building municipal facilities and renovating dilapidated apartment buildings. During his work in the Moscow city government, buildings of the Moscow International Music House , a new stage of the Bolshoi Theater , Europa Square next to the Kiev train station , library building of Lomonosov University were built.

In 2005, after leaving the official post of civil servant in the Moscow city government at his own request, he returned to the management of "SU-155", where he works as chairman of the board.

Companies

Mikhail Balakin is the main shareholder of the "SU-155" group of companies, which includes more than 80 industrial and construction companies. Sales of "SU-155" increased by 35% in 2013 and amounted to 114.2 billion rubles.

Michail Balakin was one of the shareholders of NS bank, but in April 2013 he sold his stake in the bank.

In 2014 he left the shareholders' capital of the management companies, which were formerly part of the "SU-155" group of companies, in order to concentrate on the core business.

Since 2014, Mikhail Balakin has been a member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Construction and Housing in Russia.

Welfare

Michail Balakin and his group of companies " SU-155 " take an active part in the construction and restoration of churches.

Between 2002 and 2005, the "SU-155" group of companies reconstructed the cathedral in honor of St. Nicholas of Myra in Lycia (Nikola the White) in Serpukhov , Moscow Oblast; the cathedral, which was founded in the 16th century, was rebuilt on the basis of sketches and photographs.
